I do not have a kindle but my tablet is android and I was having the same problem as everyone else. Do as the post that's dated Dec. 7, 2012. Go to your settings then go to your apps, make sure you tap the one for ALL apps, the go to the Amazon Appstore App and tap the Clear data. Close your settings then wait a minute.
